tri for life was set up in 2007 as a registered charity with a simple ambition. Provide a fantastic multisport event for participants and their families and encourage them to raise money for charity along the way. With four events under our belt, it’s clear that sometimes the simple ideas are the most effective. Our vision has paid off with increasing demand for our event and, most importantly, an increasingly significant contribution to our charity partners.
To-date, we have raised £815,000 for our partner charities and 2012 is the year we are hoping to break the £1m mark.
As of 2011, we have selected four charities, Whizz-Kidz, Breakthrough Breast Cancer, Great Ormond Street Children’s Charity and Rays of Sunshine, and pledged £150,000 to each to fund specific projects. With your support and fundraising efforts, we will be able to donate this £600,000 pledge to our charity partners over the next three to five years.
We continue along this incredibly ambitious and exciting journey combining family fun, health and fitness and charity support and we wouldn’t be anywhere without your continued support so we would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to everyone!
2012 is incredibly exciting for us, it’s the year of the Olympics, we have a brand new venue that has never hosted a triathlon before and we’re hoping to hit the £1m mark. The day promises to be a brilliant day out with something for all the family. Sign up today.
