Race Details

We are very lucky to have been granted access to private areas of Woburn Park for tri for life on 15 September. If you are tempted to check out the route in advance of 15 September, please note that there is a charge for entry to the Abbey, its Gardens and the Deer Park. Please help us maintain good relations with the Abbey by respecting the advertised rules of access to the park – i.e. when driving in the park, remain in your vehicle until you reach the car park; stick to the signposted public footpaths when on foot, and keep dogs on leads at all times (n.b. no dogs in the Gardens). For more information on opening times and prices, visit www.woburn.co.uk/abbey.

Please note that entry via the access road shown is for the event only. Entry at all other times is via the main site entrance which is clearly signposted.

10k run – new event

A new addition to tri for life. Does what it says on the tin. For all of you who don’t want to get wet and who don’t like cycling.

Scootathlon (for those aged 4 to 8 years old)

400m scoot, 400m cycle, 250m run

Once again, we are putting on our famous scootathlon for those aged between 4 and 8. The Scootathlon is a mini triathlon where children can scoot, cycle and run. This will take place before the triathlon in a safe, dedicated scootathlon area. Boys and girls will race together, in various age categories (depending on numbers).
All three disciplines must be done wearing a helmet, and all children taking part will be awarded a medal. You will need to bring your own scooter and cycle.

Kids Duathlon (for those aged 9 to 15 years old)

500m run, 3k cycle, 500m run

If you’re too old for the scootathlon, but not able to take part in the triathlon, this challenge is for you. You’ll be in waves with others of similar ages.

Kids free funfair area

We will have a dedicated “tri for life kids” area on the day with lots of activities including bouncy castles, slides, go-kart racing, face painters, balloon fairies and much more.

The Course

Woburn has never before been used for a triathlon. You will be the first. The swim takes place in one of the many stunning lakes with the cycle and the run being on a totally closed circuit within the estate. No cars or obstacles to worry about, just stunning scenery to enjoy.

Withdrawal Policy

All profits from the tri for life event will be distributed to charities and we are therefore unable to refund entry fees if you withdraw from the race or if we cancel or abandon the event, for whatever reason, at whatever time.
