Tri for Life is a newly registered charity that has been set up to organise an inaugural mini triathlon event for charity, suitable for experts and novices, individuals and teams as a fun family day out. The event is taking place on Sunday 21 September 2008 at the picturesque setting of Dorney Lake, Nr. Eton, Nr. Windsor and run by the premier Triathlon event organizers in the UK, Human Race. The proceeds raised will be distributed to the six different and worthwhile charities, Rays of Sunshine, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Teenage Cancer Trust, World Jewish Relief, MTV Staying Alive Foundation and The Employment Resource Centre.
The Tri For Life triathlon consists of a 400m swim followed by a 20km cycle and finally a 5km run. The swim is in Dorney Lake with the cycle and run being on totally flat terrain in a closed off area around the lake (no cars/traffic anywhere to be found). The diagram below shows this in more detail – the swim is one lap of Dorney Lake, the cycle is four laps and the run is two laps.
You can either enter the event such that you take part in all three disciplines, or you can enter as part of a relay team with three people where each completes a different discipline.
The different categories of entrants are as follows:
Junior (ages 14-18)
Individual
Relay adult team/corporate team
Relay junior team (all team members are under 18)
The money is being raised through a mixture of registration fees and each participant raising sponsorship money to complete the event.
Please see the FAQ section of the website for more information.

Withdrawal Policy
Ultimately, this event is for charity and we are therefore unable to refund entry fees if you withdraw from the race, for whatever reason. Instead, your fee will be wholly donated to the combined charities.
