Richard Selby, a trustee of tri for life, is one of two sons of Harvey Selby, the man who dreamt up tri for life and who sadly passed away in November 2008 as a result of suffering from cancer. Through his involvement with the charity, Richard enjoys being able to keep his father’s phenomenal legacy alive.

TFL is a joyful reminder of my late father’s generosity and spirit. The event continues to grow beyond his initial idea but still embodies the purity of his vision and sentiment.

Richard has spent his working career in the property sector, having started his professional training with Hillier Parker, chartered surveyors and then working with his father and brother in the 1990′s as they built up a residential development company specialising in listed buildings and building conversions. Over the last 10 years Richard has co developed in most residential and hospitality sectors alongside institutional funding partners. In February 2014 Richard’s company merged with Brockton Capital which was the natural evolution of a decade-long working relationship between the two companies. The new business will be responsible for managing and delivering assets within the Brockton Capital Funds that have significant planning, refurbishment and redevelopment aspects.
