Road Closures Information

There will be temporary road closures of the following roads:

ON SATURDAY 9th SEPTEMBER (from 7am – 6pm)

PARK STREET

However only a section of Park Street is closed this is between the cattle grid nearest to Woburn village and the Stumps Cross crossroad car park entrance into Woburn Abbey.

Park Street & the businesses etc on it can still be accessed via Woburn Village at its junction with A4012, and one carriage of Park Street will remain open to allow for local resident and business vehicular access. However there is no through route along Park Street, those wishing to get to Woburn from the Froxfield / Eversholt area will need to follow the signed diversion route, which will take all vehicles via Ridgemont, onto the A4012, past the entrance to the Safari Park, and into Woburn on the A4012, and in reverse.

ON SUNDAY 10th SEPTEMBER (from 10am – 6pm)

CHURCH END (Eversholt) CHURCH END (Milton Byran) HILLS END
TYRELLS END

Emergency vehicle access will not be restricted on any of the roads listed on either day.

We must emphasise that the road closures are in place for safety of participants and residents. We are aware the road closure may affect your day and we will open the roads as soon as the event has finished. We would ask you to plan ahead, and contact us directly if you have any key concerns and we will address these where possible. In order to minimise road closure impacts, during the event hours, we will endeavour to allow local traffic access to properties directly on the route but would request that any movement requirements are communicated to us in advance using the below contact details.

Whilst the majority of road closures are on the Sunday, the Saturday event also utilises local highway roads for its bike course, however they remain open to traffic unless stated above. As a result, it is likely you will experience more cyclists on the roads in the area than usual. We would therefore ask residents to take extra care and caution when out on the roads and plan ahead.

We would like to take this opportunity, in advance, to apologise for any inconvenience and express our thanks to local residents and businesses, for reading this information and planning around the event taking place. If you have any specific questions, or require more information please contact us at cycling@humanrace.co.uk / 020 8391 3913, or visit the website www.triforlife.co.uk
